Graphite steel
Graphite steel is a hypereutectoid steel with a carbon content between 1.5% and 2.5%. These roll have a structure consisting of nodular graphite and carbides in a pearlitic / bainitic matrix . The presence of the graphite improves the firecrack resistance of the roll material. It can be used for almost any size of section, especially where fire cracking is a problem.
